With 10 locations in Massachusetts, Pinkberry New England is bringing back its Celebrity Swirl Campaign, where the flavors, products and talents of local icons and chefs are brought into Pinkberry’s test kitchen. This summer, “Top Chef “ finalist and Boston restaurateur (Tiger Mama & Sweet Cheeks Q), Tiffani Faison, is working with the Pinkberry New England team to create “Tiffani Faison’s Sweet Corn,” a flavor inspired by her award-winning Southern-inspired BBQ restaurant Sweet Cheeks Q. The exclusive offering will only be available from Monday, August 1st, 2016 through Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 and 10% of proceeds will be donated to The Fisher of House Boston.
“The Celebrity Swirl campaign is an ongoing initiative based on the flavors that we revere here in New England. Whether it be an actual iconic product, a particular brand, or an individual that is part of the lexicon that makes up the culinary landscape, we want to honor that. We also believe that it is extremely important to ensure that a percentage of the proceeds go back to a charity that is meaningful to our flavor curator,” said Trippe Lonian, chief executive of NE Frog Pond LLC, Pinkberry’s area developer for most of New England.
Incorporated into the proprietary blend, guests of Pinkberry New England will taste a sweet corn flavor complemented by a blueberry compote and brown sugar buttermilk biscuit crumble made using Sweet Cheek’s world famous biscuits, developed by the R & D team of Pinkberry under the watchful eye of Chef Tiffani Faison.
Tiffani Faison is an American chef, restaurateur, culinary consultant and television personality best known for her stellar performance on Bravo’s “Top Chef” series. Inspired by her military family upbringing, much of which was spent in the South, Tiffani Faison opened Sweet Cheeks Q in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood in 2011. The restaurant has been featured in Forbes, Food & Wine, Travel & Leisure, CBS’ “The Dish,” NBC’s “The Today Show,” People, and The New York Times. In 2015 Tiffani opened her newest concept, Tiger Mama, a Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant and bar, steps away from Sweet Cheeks Q on Boylston Street.
“I’m such a fan of Pinkberry and I couldn’t be more excited to work with them on creating this flavor. The fact that a portion of the proceeds benefits The Fisher House, a cause that is so important to me, is truly the cherry on top,” said Tiffani Faison.
As a self-described “army brat,” Tiffani is an avid supporter of our troops and their families. The Fisher House of Boston is a home away from home where military families can stay while a loved one is receiving in-house treatment at one of their medical centers. These homes are built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers and they enable family members to be close to loved ones during stressful times.
Tiffani Faison’s Sweet Corn will be available from August 1st, 2016 through August 31st, 2016 at the following Pinkberry locations in New England including: Newbury Street (Boston), South Station (Boston), Prudential Center (Boston), North End (Boston), Harvard Square (Cambridge), Chestnut Hill (Newton), Hingham, Wellesley, South Shore Plaza in Braintree and North Beverly.
