What started three years ago with a goal to support The Fisher House while conquering the Marine Corps Marathon, is fast becoming a yearly tradition involving family, friends, determination, and very sore feet. On October 28th, our ever-expanding Beantown Runners Team will be back out on the streets of Washington D.C. in support of the important work of The Fisher House.
This year, the race will also hold very special meaning for our team as we run in memory of Donald “DJ” Jackson USMC. We honor this Proud Marine by coming together and working hard to support our military families. It is important to remember that no family pays to stay at the Fisher House. It is through your support that these military families are able to be close to their loved ones during very difficult times.
A special thanks to those who have supported us in the past. This year, we want to show The Fisher House National Team what the people of Boston are really made of. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and every little bit helps. Our goal is lofty and the race will be long, but hearts are in it and our will is strong!
Military families give so much. We run to say thanks.

To ease the burden of our Veterans and their families during difficult times. To serve those who have served.
Fisher House Boston’s mission is to be responsive to the needs of our guests and go above and beyond what the VA can provide. We strive to meet the basic comfort needs of our guests, as well as enhance the healing and supportive environment of the house, during some of the most difficult times in our guest lives.
With your support, we have provided more than 40,000 tickets to wounded, injured, and ill service members and their families, worth over $73 million (average savings per ticket is currently about $1,400).
